Minister of Music Job Description

The minister of music will be responsible for the following:

1. Direct music at both morning services, evening worship, and special services that would include nursing home services, ordination services, etc.
2. Select hymns and songs for both morning services and evening worship.
3. Work with choir president to enlist, train, and equip choir members.
4. Work with the choir president to organize and plan special music for each service.
5. Admistrate all choirs seeing that the choirs have the appropriate music and rehearasal times.  (Our church currently only has one adult choir that is on a break through the summer.  The choir will reconvene when school starts.)
6. Select music for special events like Christmas and Easter.
7. Work with the choir president on distribution o f music and promtion of special events.
8. The music minister will be gone no more than 4 Sundays a year understanding that there might be extenuation circumstances to work around.
